Nutraceutical Brands Collaborate on Mango Tea Creatine Beverage Concept for SupplySide Global
The formula will feature creatine, mental energy ingredients, and on-trend flavors and packaging.

At SupplySide Global, several ingredient innovators, formulating experts, and marketing/packaging design companies will work in collaboration on a concept beverage called Createa Mighty Mango. The 12-ounce canned beverage will feature the health and performance benefits of creatine, along with two other ingredients for mental energy. It will also feature natural caffeine, non-sugar flavor components and a sweetener.
The new concept follows 2024’s XPO NRG concept beverage showcased at last year’s SupplySide Global. Createa will be available to sample at multiple locations on the event’s show floor.
“Creatine has been a hot ingredient in the sports nutrition market for its muscle performance benefits for years. With this formulation, we wanted to break creatine out of that box for a more mainstream audience and highlight some of the other health benefits it can offer. Glanbia’s CreaBev is an innovative form of creatine that is ideal for beverages, allowing beverage formulators to achieve soluble and stable creatine formulations with less degradation,” said Joey Savage, CEO of Savage Nutra and formulator of Createa.
“As creatine gains recognition not only for muscle strength but also for brain health, its combination with Zynamite S positions this concept at the forefront of performance innovation. Zynamite S from PLT Health Solutions is redefining what mental energy can be, with two remarkable clinical studies completed in the last year backing performance that people can feel in just 30 minutes. It is also made from mango leaves, which inspired our flavor concept,” said Ben Kane, president of PricePlow and Createa project coordinator.
“For SupplySide 2024, we set out to prove what’s possible when competitors put differences aside and collaborate, showcasing how a host of branded ingredients from across the industry can unite to deliver broad health benefits and elevate the category as a whole. For CREATEA, we focused on the same innovation goal but wanted to more closely emulate the product development process you see in the industry – including cost considerations. The formulation you see in Createa Mighty Mango could go straight to market,” he said.
“This year we wanted to take a more “natural” approach to things. We wanted natural flavors and sweeteners to be one of the main differences between this year’s and last year’s products,” Savage noted.
Other ingredients in Createa include SweetVantage, a natural sweetener by NNB Nutrition; InnovaBean, a branded natural alternative to synthetic caffeine produced by NutriScience Innovations; and a flavor system by ADM. Lacore Naturals managed filling and manufacturing, and Nutramedia led the branding and package design, while McDowell Label executed flexographic sleeve printing.

Createa can be sampled throughout the SupplySide Global show floor at sampling stations and booths of participating companies. Three separate kiosks will also be located in lobbies B, C, and F.
